What you need to know about the new Verizon Wireless Travel Pass:
With Travel Pass, instead of paying per minute, per message, or per MB you will be charged a daily rate to use your domestic talk, text and data allowances while traveling.
The Daily rate is $2 per day in Mexico and Canada and $10 per day in the other countries where Travel Pass is available.
Here is the list of available countries: http://www.verizonwireless.com/landingpages/travelpass-countries/
Minutes, messages, and data consumed will be used from the allowances included in your regular monthly domestic plan.
While in a Travel Pass country with Travel Pass, you can call phone numbers within the country you are in or call back to the United States.
If you plan to call countries other than the USA or the country you are in, or you plan to travel to a country not covered by Travel Pass you will need to add the International Services Enabled feature to your account in My Verizon or by calling Customer Service.
If you call a country other than the US or the country you are visiting with Travel Pass, you will be charged the international rate for that country.
The daily charge only applies on days you use your service outside of the USA.
Travel Pass is available on 4G LTE World Devices: smartphones, tablets, Jetpack devices, hotspots & USB modems.
You are only charged one daily fee per 24 hours for Travel Pass, even if you travel within multiple covered countries.
When you arrive in the Travel Pass covered country and turn on your device, you will receive a confirmation text. Your 24 hour access to Travel Pass will not begin until you make or receive a phone call, send a text, or use data.
Shortly before your 24 hour session ends, you will receive a text letting you know Travel Pass is almost up. If you stop using your device before your 24 hour session ends, you will not be charged again until you use your device internationally the next time. That could be later the next day, next month or even the next year. If you continue to use your device you will be charged another daily fee and you will get another 24 hour session.
You do not need to Opt In daily. If you make or receive a phone call, send a text, or use data you will begin another 24 hour session.
You do not need to remove Travel Pass when you return to the USA. Travel Pass will only trigger a daily charge when you use your device while traveling outside of the USA in a qualifying Travel Pass country.
